Don’t ask, but somehow The Shining works as a comedy!

Look, just hear me out for a minute ok? The trailer for Stanley Kubrick’s horrifying masterpiece, The Shining (1980), has been remade into a comedy trailer, and somehow, it works. Give it a go and see what you think.

If you’ve never seen The Shining (if so, how and why?), here is the official synopsis for you: Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson) becomes winter caretaker at the isolated Overlook Hotel in Colorado, hoping to cure his writer’s block. He settles in along with his wife, Wendy (Shelley Duvall), and his son, Danny (Danny Lloyd), who is plagued by psychic premonitions. As Jack’s writing goes nowhere and Danny’s visions become more disturbing, Jack discovers the hotel’s dark secrets and begins to unravel into a homicidal maniac hell-bent on terrorizing his family.

Enjoy that? While you’re here why not check out this Mrs Doubtfire horror trailer. Don’t forget to share with your friends and get in touch and let us know what you thought.
