Armed police at London Bridge ‘incident’

A van has reportedly mounted the pavement and an apparent knife attack was carried out afterwards. London Bridge has been closed and Armed Police are on the scene as we speak.

Witnesses said a white van veered off the road before hitting pedestrians.

Police have confirmed they are dealing with an incident and armed police were seen at the scene.

London Transport Police say London Bridge station is also closed.

Will Heaven was at the scene shortly afterwards and wrote on Twitter that he had seen casualties – one on the pavement and one on the edge of the road.

Around 20 people are said to have been hit by a white van.

Witnesses claim that men ‘randomly started stabbing people’ along Borough High Street with 12-inch long knives.

Police are also responding to another incident at Borough Market, Scotland Yard said.

“A white van driver came speeding, at about 50mph, veered off the road into pedestrians,” an eyewitness told the BBC News channel.

It is believed that 3 people got out in borough market and stabbed members of public then were shot dark scary time.
